The DutchTT2018 always stays special. That's when I met Charmaine and Carmen. We all have been selected as #motulsuperfan in 2016 and 2017 in different rounds.
Charmaine came to Assen on wednesday, so we went out for dinner. And it was the most fun dinner ever. When we were eating suddenly Jack Miller came in for dinner. So after dinner it was dessert
time! Jack had the same plan. He was waiting behind my little sister from some icecream, and that made her verry nervous. So while we were waiting he handed out our plates. Such a
gentleman!
We went home early after a small citytour because thursday was our first big day! The #motulsuperfanreunion with a total of 10 old MSF.
At thursday we first went to the accreditation center to pick up our paddock passes. Then we went to the paddock to meet the people from Motul and have our best wekend ever. We already knew a lot
of our programme, and we knew we would be filmed. But I didn't expect we would be filmed whole weekend!
So we went to the train station in Assen, with a cameraman to film how we met some of the old MSF. That was so funny because we looked like superstars and you saw the people's faces: "who are
those people".
Then back to the circuit because we could race on minibikes! That was such an amazing experience, and they told me I was fast (FYI I was the fastest Motulsuperfan!). After the minibike race came
a verry amazing part of the weekend. We could
sit front row at the press conference and ask the riders questions!
At friday we had an amazing programme. We had different meetings with Pau Serracanta, but also with the riders. We had an interview with Alex Rins, Hafiz Syahrin, Xavier Simeon and Tito
Rabat. Because everyone knows I'm a big fan of Tito they decided I could do almost the whole interview. I'm still so thankfull for it because it was one of the best parts of the weekend.
Before the interview I was so nervous, and that didn't left during the interview but I enjoyed every part of it. Do you want to see the interview? Just click here.
During the friday afternoon we had some paddocktime and we could see all the crazy sessions, because the times from all the riders were so close because it was so warm. During the
afternoon I had the possibility to arrange a special surprise for someone, but it was hard to keep that secret.
We went to the town to have the famous TT-Night party. I loved to show everyone around Assen, but as usual we stayed in town too late and we had to wake up so early the next morning to go to the
circuit.
We had to be at the circuit at 8.00 saturday morning. It was so early, I barely had some sleep, but the saturday was also a day with a full planning.
At first I had the possibility to enter the Movistar Yamaha garage with Jorge. His reaction was totally priceless because he didn't knew he could enter the garage untill about a minute
before.
We were both tired, but this totally woke us up. Especially because Jorge could touch the bikes at ways not many fans can do it. It was amazing when they started the bikes. The sound is
impressive when you are that close to them and it is really nice to see the garages from the other side then your tv screen.
After this we had breakfast in VIP village. The most expensive breakfast I ever had but it was a great place to be, you really feel special!
In the afternoon we had meetings with Jarno Polastri from Avintia. He is Tito's crew chief and we had a Q&A with him to learn more about the bike. It was so amazing to be so close to the bike
from my favourite rider. We also had a
technical talk with Jacquez Roca, the mechanic of Andrea Iannone.
Another excited part of the weekend was watching FP3 from Avintia.
When I was chosen as Motulsuperfan in 2016 I already was excited to watch WUP from Suzuki, but be in the garage of your favourite rider and watch everything behind the scenes is
undescribable.
Then raceday came. WUP again from the garage of Avintia, and after that I went up the balcony to watch the other races.
Suddenly a special thing came up in our whatsapp. There were 2 people that could go to parc fermé and podium ceremony Moto2, and I was one of the lucky ones!
It was really special to see Pecco win, and more special that we could see him enter parc fermé and even more to see him on the podium that close!
Then the MotoGP race came, the most crazy one of the whole season with over 150 overtakes in total. Marc Marquez was the winner, Alex Rins second and Maverick Viñales third.
Now I have to wait a couple of days, because my next race will be in Germany at the Sachsenring.
